A busy week on the Twin Cities campus for Land O’Lakes
Event sponsorships give Land O’Lakes visibility and a chance to interact with talented students
Two long-standing traditions that bring students together near the end of the semester are CSE Week at the College of Science and Engineering and Business Week at the Carlson School of Management (CSOM). Both offer learning opportunities and just plain fun, and this year, both were held the week of April 9.
CSE students develop their cow-milking skills: During a lunchtime cookout on April 12, CSE students had a chance to build their resumes by competing in the Land O'Lakes Cow Milking Contest. “Simulated cow, many laughs!” read the CSE Week promotional materials.
Helping Carlson School students help others: At Business Week, Land O’Lakes sponsored a volunteer opportunity that made it easy to do something positive for the community. Coordinated by HandsOn Twin Cities, Land O’Lakes volunteers and CSOM students assembled hygiene kits that were donated to The Link, a social service organization based in North Minneapolis.
