The fifth annual International HR Case Competition was held at the Carlson School of Management November 9–11. Six teams of graduate students representing Australia, China, India, South Korea, and the United States competed to solve an international human resources challenge facing Land O'Lakes, the competition’s lead sponsor.

Hosted by the Carlson School’s Center for Human Resources and Labor Studies, the three-day event included a visit to Land O'Lakes' headquarters. There, the teams and their advisers toured the campus, heard from Chief HR Officer Loren Heeringa, and met several other Land O'Lakes HR professionals. The teams also gained insights into the company’s history and growth. Two Land O'Lakes representatives, Julie Sexton and Tiffany Kramlich, served as judges for the competition.

The team from the Carlson School of Management took first place; second place went to the team from Yonsei University in South Korea; and third place to the team from Sun Yat-Sen University in China. The other participating teams were from Queensland University of Technology in Australia; NMIMS in India; and Penn State University.
