Land O’Lakes peloton pedals to support cancer research

With support from a strong team (“peloton”) of Land O’Lakes riders, the Twin Cities’ second annual Chainbreaker biking event, held August 10–12, raised funds for research at the Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota.  Fundraising is on track to exceed the $1.4 million total from 2017.

Chainbreaker facts:

  • 1,000+ riders in 86 pelotons participated in the three-day weekend of cycling, entertainment, and volunteerism.
  • 32 riders from Land O’Lakes have raised more than $12,000 toward their $36,750 goal. Totals will continue to rise as donations are accepted through October 12, 2018.
  • 100% of rider-raised dollars goes directly to support research aimed at improving the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of cancer, and reduce the impact of the number one killer in Minnesota.
  • The Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota has received an overall rating of “Outstanding” from the National Cancer Institute.
