Opening doors for future food and ag professionals
Land O’Lakes is an important partner in helping the U of M recruit and retain the next generation of food and ag professionals.
Since 2014, Land O’Lakes-funded scholarships at the University of Minnesota have helped support an important population: our future food and ag workforce. These generous scholarships help talented students interested in the agricultural industry do more to maximize their U of M experience and prepare themselves as professionals and leaders.
The Land O’Lakes Scholarship and the Land O’Lakes Multifunctional Ag and Food Systems Scholarship benefit students who are working toward an undergraduate degree at the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS).
Land O’Lakes scholars are involved in a wide array of agricultural organizations, such as 4H, Future Farmers of America, From the Ground Up, and the USDA, further preparing them for the food and ag workforce. Select scholars also spend time with employees at WinField United, Land O’Lakes’ agriculture solutions division, delving into topics such as precision agriculture and effective communication about GMO foods.
