U of M a talent pipeline: 2017-2018 recruiting highlights
In spring 2018, Land O’Lakes welcomed 41 new hires from the University of Minnesota—9 for full-time positions, 32 for internships.
In formal settings and one-on-one interactions, representatives from the Land O’Lakes College Relations team and other areas of the company helped students see how they can make a difference in food and ag careers.
-The U of M was the number one source for internship talent
-14,000+ students became more aware of the Land O’Lakes brand and interacted with Land O’Lakes representatives
-100 events were hosted by the Land O’Lakes College Relations team
New focus areas:
-mentoring participants in W.I.L.L. (Women Invested in Leadership and Learning) program in Gopher Athletics
-sponsoring CSE Week student activities at the College of Science and Engineering (the Land O’Lakes cow milking contest was a hit with students)
-partnering with collegiate career center events including meeting students at breakfasts, freshman previews, and speed networking events.
