UM deans discuss: what’s the future of food and ag?
CFANS Dean Brian Buhr and CSOM Dean Sri Zaheer joined deans from the agriculture and business schools at Iowa State and Purdue University as special guests at a Land O’Lakes Global Food Challenge panel in late August.
The Ag Deans panel addressed how the food and agriculture industry is adapting to meet the demands of global markets, ag-technology, and consumers. The deans explained how their respective colleges are adapting in the classrooms to better prepare future workers in an ever-growing and changing industry.
The Business Deans Panel recognized how Land O’Lakes contributes to shaping the next generation of food security leaders and inspiring career paths that will help to preserve, protect and strengthen this collective power. The deans also shared what their business schools are doing to tie business students to the food and agriculture industry.
